about
This was made on the legendary TONTO synthesizer in Calgary at the National Music Centre. Previously used by greats such as: Stevie Wonder, Depeche Mode, Qunicy Jones, Gil-Scott-Heron. TONTO is the first and largest multitimbral polyphonic analog synthesizer in the world. Aucoin recorded 3hrs of music before cutting it down, arranging and overlaying its takes to turn it into the 6 minute track it became. “It’s a powerful synth that’s like the Voltron of synths".

From opening to close, this synthrock EP is immersive, punchy (kicky?), and full-bodied. Groove Crusader gives you a little bit of story and lets you imagine the criminally-cool adventure montages in tunes you'd expect from an insanely fun retro-style game. I adore Justice Wears High Tops!! escherbug
An earthy yet somewhat chilly record about life, death, and reconnection, the latest from LOMA experiments with a turn towards the gloomy. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2024
Had to do a deep-dive on TWRP's back-catalog ever since I heard Friends of the Blues, and let me say, it DOES NOT disappoint. This is the soundtrack I want for my life. complexitron
